John McCain "Seriously Negotiate" with the Democrats

February 2, 2009, United States - Senator John McCain believed there were no serious debates with the Republicans yet. President Obama created a stimulus bill that will help the country to face unemployment problems. McCain believed that this stimulus bill will not help the country. Some Republican senators made a package that focus on tax cuts, providing homes and get rid of useless policies. Republicans complained that they should not be part of the stimulus package for it had included giving financial supports to the veterans at the Philipines. McCain trusted that policy changes had nothing to do with recovering the economy and anything else. President Obama considered that the package would win the Republican’s support once he had finished improvising the bill. However, the Bill had been passed in the House but no Republicans supported the package. The bill was criticized as “a Christmas tree where members are hanging their favourite program on it.” by Collins. The main problem of the bill was not directing towards the influence of the economy.
This article will test out Obama’s ideas and leadership. I hope that Obama will figure out a way that the rest of the House will believe it is serious enough to pass it. If I was in charge, I would had chosen to create a bill is to increase tourism. So, by eliminating the problems with entering US and making foreigners entering the US more easier will boost the economy for shopping and other things. By creating tourism, more jobs will be assigned for people; this could tackle the problem with unemployment.
